WTF? Hotels are nasty!

OK, I have noticed this before and every time I see it I still cannot believe it. It is frikkin' nasty and makes me want to hurl.

But when I go to a hotel (granted I am not staying at a 5 star resort) and I am taking a piss or pinching a deuce I do not need to see a coffee pot right next to the toilet on the sink. The coffee pots used to be in the room but now it seems the trend is to put them in the bathroom. That is just nasty. And I do not use the coffee pot so it stays there as is until the next person, or the next person, or the person after that.

I just do not get it. It makes me ill.

How could this be legal?

I'm usually more worried by the sheets and towels ergo I bring my own.

Ahab needs to bring that Arab money and get himself to a suite where the bathroom floors are made of Rosa aurora marbles hand carved by Persian virgins and where coffee beans cultivated by Belgian monks living in a stone monastery in the Yirgacheffe region are brought by cheap american lookbook skanks that double as experienced baristas dressed in only a single linen apron who make fresh coffee for you every morning while telling you how much sweet sweet sweet love they would make to you while rubbing "coffee creamer" on themselves if only Ahab would bring more Arab money.

How could Arab money be legal?

there alot sicker things you can think of at a hotel. not everything is wiped down and sanitized mind you.
you dont know what the other party was doing in the bed or what have you, but i always wipe down all handles, tv remote control, etc.

also, they always tell you to try not to use too many towels and just leave them alone if you dont need them.
i dont trust that. what if the other party was malicious and rubbed their gonads all over the towel and refolded them neatly back onto the pantry?

they should always remove ALL towels no matter 'new' or used.

and some hotels would leave the lotion or shampoo last used. refilled or what have you. who knows if someone spat into it or leaked into it.

I brought that up in a thread once and got yelled at. Members telling me about the hotels washing towels in hot water and the such. Unless I'm at a Ritz or a JW, I bring my own washclothes.

If a decent hotel's towels and sheets are the biggest risk to your health, you live a much more bubble-esque existence than I do.

what kind of shithole are you staying at that puts the coffe pot next to the toilet?

next time spend a little more and no worries.

It's like the guy buying shoes at Payless and then complaining that the sole wears out quick or somesuch smalltimer bullshit.

Oh man. The coffee pot goes in the bathroom? That's so gross! It's not like you put your toothbrush, razor, or anything else on that same surface. Ewwwwwwwwwy!

I always wonder what they do with the little soaps after they've been opened and used once.

Yup, and now you're both getting yelled at. You're not going to contract AIDS from a damn towel. If there were visible stains or dirt, that would be an issue. Otherwise suck it up.

If only more had your clarity of thought.

A bit of an aside but I don't keep my toothbrush in the bathroom.

If I had posted that in the OCD thread no one would bat an eye. Im not worried about catching AIDS, I just dont like the idea of stranger's skin flakes, poo butter, fluids, dry or otherwise on cloth that touches my face. Everytime you flush the toilet the back splash send ass water all over the room, thats science.

Why is it malicious to wipe my sweaty crotch and ass with the towel several times a day, and then neatly fold it up and put it back? I'm just trying to keep my hotel room tidy while I'm there. And further, why would you want the hotel to waste all that water and soap washing towels when they don't need to, and thus raising the prices?
