FS: ATH-W5000 (headphones)

sold got an ultrasone 900--smaller... hope it sounds as good!

those are not as good as the w5000 lol i heard the esw9 and was not impressed, also, i find the earpads on the esw9 uncomfortable, and esw10 is pretty much the same. that being said, i want to switch to a grado because it is smaller, and when i tried on the grado it was actually pretty comfortable.

eh it will sound better with an amplifier but ive used it with portable players and it sounds fine. does it sound better if i add another $500 piece of equipment? of course (and even if it doesnt you can bet that ill imagine a large improvement). the bigger impediment to portable use, and why you should get the esw10 if thats what you want, is that the cable is ~3m long. actually, instead of esw10, i would just get earbuds. if you like the audiotechnica sound the ck10 is ~$240 and better than the esw9 imo, and the ck100 which i havent tried is quite pricey but apparently very good. cheaper if you can get it from japan

damn i wish the cashback was still going on... really was better for electronics than clothes
