Got a question about PCD

I know that you guys are the best authority on denim and was wondering about PCD.

I was in a small riverside town in NJ called Red Bank or as I like to call it, Jersey's Village. Anyway, on one of the main drags they have an departement like store call Grammancy or something like that, so I decided to go in and check it out.

Upon walking inside, they had various designers from Paul Smith and Prada, but the one thing that impressed is the thing that they had called The Jean Saloon.

Being a denim freak, I decided to go in and look around. In it, the had it all. D&G, Evisu, I think I saw some Earnst Sewn even. To my suprise I found that they had they had Paper Denim and Cloth.

I think that one of the employees was trying to drive me out of the store, I had the feeling that he was following me.

So after discovering a store besides Nordstrom, that carries it, I was wondering what's your opinion on PCD.

I saw that the cheapest pair of PCD I saw was $176 and it was called the GTO or something like that. My question is how do they fit?

Are the baggy? Tight? Is there anything I need to know about them?

I've got a tax return coming in that is about $200 and I was thinking about going out and buying a pair.

Thanks.

why didn't you try the PDC on?
General concensus is that PDC's gone massively downhill in quality.

If you like the general styling of Paper Denim jeans, I would recommend that you try Earnest Sewn, Scott Morrison's (the creator of PD7C) brand after leaving Paper Denim. In addition to Paper Denim & Cloth really having jumped the shark recently quality wise. the company has been bough by Federated who plan to make it a lower priced ($100-$150) line. Earnest Sewn is much better at the same pricepoint for similar styles.

You can get em for like half the price on ebay or discount designer wear stores like cmart.

Old PDC (circa 2000-2003) are great washed jeans. Occasionally pops up on ebay for approximately $100.

The Hutch is a little higher rise, but probably the closest fit to the GTO. The Hutch-06, (3D-Maz Dark) is a terrific dark wash.

Thanks guys. The PCD news is kinda sad news to hear, but I guess that it's good news for me, cause I'm just a poor kid who pushes carts for a living. But that's just sad to hear. I guess that I'll head back and check out to see if the have some Earnest Sewns. But there was another store called Nirvarna, didn't check out the prices.

I felt like I was being watch by one of the guys who work at the store. I walked in just too look around. I just had the feeling. Next time I'll go dressed a little nicer insted of wearing a bummy hoodie and jeans.

I just ordered a GTO 1-year from Scoop. Since that model is out of production, I assumed it was old stock and it's still good quality. This is what I got. So am I right? or is this made from so-so quality denim too? I'll probably receive it next week. What should I look for so I can differentiate their older quality denim from the new crap? weirdnjfan1: If they tried to intimidate you at the shop, I'd say they don't deserve your business, no matter what you were wearing. There are enough places around NJ/NYC where you can find a good pair of jeans. Peter

Yeah, that's what to wear when you're actually stealing.

You are not supposed to commit crimes when looking like an obvious crook.
