Hair Stylist in NY?

Hey I am new here but am glad to have found this place. I am currently getting my haircuts in New York from a guy named Glenn Jason. He's pretty good at cutting hair but he messed up my haircut and doesn't come off nice, so I want to look for something new. I am going for medium size cut, a bit messy. Anybody here know any good salons where I can get a good cut? I get a cut every 6 weeks as it gets better as it gets longer. I'm paying $80 for a rather simple cut, so I think I should be able to get what I'm looking for. Thanks, hopefully I get some good suggestions. I think a good cut is very important.

From searching, I've found Cutler Salon and Ishi, but I am not too excited about those just yet. Anybody else have an idea of what might be a good place to stop by?

I trust my hair to Mika at Sei Tomoko East village. I heard Osamu at Hoshi Coupe is good, too. For men's cuts, that's $45 and $60 respectively.

I would be interested, also. My Midtown stylist had gone back to Japan. I did some search here, and on the forum's suggestions (either it was a malicious joke, or, more likely, the once who proferred the suggestions had no clue about a good haircut), I've tried Chealsea Barbers. Was not impressed at all, and will not come back there.

Bumble and Bumble.

Regardless, always bring in a picture of your desired cut for the stylist to see. Never leave it to descriptions alone.

How much do they charge? My budget is $75, including tips. Not in my league?

Where in Midtown was this? My stylist worked in a salon that had both Midtown and Brooklyn locations and I was told she moved back to Japan about a year ago (it wasn't true).
