The sutherland looks to me like a very ordinary trenchcoat, that is, I don't see anything wrong with it or particularly extraordinary. Hidden buttons are pretty standard for a trench.

Just got the Mayfair topcoat. The fit is pretty damn good but I find the arms to be a bit full and in need of slimming. Does anyone else feel this way?

It's a top coat, there's supposed to be some room in the sleeves. You might want to fit a sweater or a sport coat under there.

You should see some of my vintage topcoats. They believed in giving a man some room for layering back then.

As long as your sleeves don't hang far down over your hands, you're ok.

I thought it was a bit long. Its amazing how short the model makes the coat look.

Guys have you had trouble with your jcrew t-shirts color fading after just a couple of washes? I wash mine in cold/soft water but had a couple of t-shirts fading quite a bit after just 1 wash!

I wear a size 38 to 40 size suit. What size should I get for the mayfair topcoat? I can only buy it online so any advice would help!!! thank you!!!

p.s.- i wanna be able to wear a suit under it

M if you want to wear a suit inside.
One thing you might wanna take into account is the sleeve width. The sleeves may not be wide enough for a jacket underneath.

I know that topcoast sleeves are usually wider just so they can fit suits under it... problem is I've read that your suppose to buy your topcoat the same size as your suit... so does anyone have any hands on experience on that specific coat? thanks for helping man!
