I have the rugged classics, just got them recently. If you apply for a j.crew in store credit card they give you 20% off of your first purchase on the card. Online you will have to pay shipping but if you go to the store and place an order there you won't have to pay the shipping fee. Mine came out from regularly costing 225+tax&shipping, to only costing me 191.xx out the door. As for sizing I went to a redwing dealer where they have the digital foot measuring devices and bought what they said. It was a half size down from what I regularly buy. ~Derek

My mistake. Called the store. The sale jeans on line are the straight-fit crinkle resin and mine are the vintage slim-fit crinkle resin. Oh, well.

btw how lame is it that I own only one pair of wearable jeans?

Luckily for you black Friday is coming up... so if you can / want to brave the mall you should be able to find good deals on another pair of jeans.

Might have to. This particular J. Crew is not in a mall but rather in a row of boutique shops in a nice part of town. Still there could be crowds and parking might be an issue etc. Not to mention that I have to work that day.

Does J. Crew even do the Black Friday thing?

I have no idea...

If they do, they might open at 8 am though... so you could go before work and probably beat a nice chunk of the crowds.

Wait, you can use the student discount online?

Yes, mentioned earlier in this thread. Just reply to customer service with your order number from a .edu address and they'll apply the discount to non-sale items.

Are the Weejuns J.Crew exclusives?

Not as far as I know- you can pretty much pick up Weejuns anywhere. The ones on the J Crew site aren't the new Made in the USA Weejuns that came out this fall. I just pulled the trigger on the wool officer's pant. Hopefully it fills the hole in my wardrobe between jeans/chinos and trousers.

I meant to order some xmas presents with the 20% + free ship code--any chance another one of those (or, say, 30%) will be out by xmas ordering deadline?
