J Crew F/W 09 Discussion - Page 3

If I order something from crewcuts why can't they keep the free shipping when I add something from the mens section. They both come from the same place. IT MAKES NO SENSE.

Has anyone else noticed outrageous shipping charges from J.Crew lately? It seems like they're working the bottom line by tempting online shoppers into buying through low prices on sales items, only to hit them with exorbitant surcharges after they've already made up their ming. A smart business move I guess.

Do they do in store tailoring to Boo yet. Srsly.

J.Crew's shipping has always been outrageous. It sucks for those of us who can't find our sizes in the stores and would rather not trek to the local store to order from the red phone. I often try to wait for the free (with at least $150 purchase) or flat-rate shipping codes that wander the internet from time to time.

What can I say? I really don't like paying for shipping (especially when they basically set it up so that I would have to do so), but I am also lazy. Perhaps I've just been spoiled by places with free shipping or USPS Priority flat-rate.

I always wait for free shipping code. I'd rather get free shipping than percentage off. The reason is that if I change my mind and return the items, I'll be out nothing.

so you either pay for the gas and your time to go visit a brick and mortar to buy what you want, or you pay for the convenience of staying in your living room and having it delivered to your doorstep. OR you go to that red phone for the things that aren't in the store and get free shipping. What's the big deal.

You can't really expect all retailers to just suck up the shipping costs.

All I was saying is that if it is free shipping for crewcuts and I add something from the men's section, why does the free shipping go away? They can ship them both together.

Yeah, but the sale prices are about half as much in stores. With the money they make from higher prices they should offer free shipping, at least for $100.00+ purchases.

And this complaint really doesn't have much to do with the thread's intended discussion of the f/w 09 lineup.
