Hey guys i've just started an internship at the corporate office of a large firm in LA. Currently I have Burgundy Allen Edmond Wendell dress shoes, THAT I LOVE

Anyways I have black slip on dress shoes (Cole Hann, ew i know) that I've had for over 4 years that were bought for a wedding, and are not suitable for me to wear. Anyways I am looking for something similar to my Allen Edmonds, within a 150 price range.

Any suggestions similiar to the Wendell Allen Edmonds would be great. Pics would help too.

This is a pair of wendells.

I am not feeling the love. I'm sorry but I feel that is one of AE's worst pair in terms of design. At the budget of $150, your best bet is to look into AE seconds or scour ebay and the B&S here. I would suppose you need one lace up balmoral captoe at the very least, and no, don't get something similar to the wendell.

well i do know what the the wendell looks like, seeing as that I purchased them. Im trying to find something that is similar in shape (toe), and has the same wingtip leather punches in them, except I do not want a wing tip shoe.

Opinions on a black dress shoe that has the leather hole punches across the toe cap?

I would love to sport the wingtips, but those are way out of range for me, not to mention they are too flashy for my work.

I have the AE Byron and across the cap on the toe, there is brogueing. Or is it broguing? Either way, I like the look of them very much and think that you'd be satisfied with them as well. And, you probably need to see them in person as the Allen Edmonds site has bad pictures of the shoes.

Let me clarify, I would sport the wing tips, but all the ones that i find have the design on top of the toe. I would just prefer they have the outline of the from on top all the way down the side in the hole punches.
I know I dont know the literal terms but know what I want, and would greatly appreciate it if someone could find a shoe, pref. AE that would fit that description

If anyone can find it, I will be forever in your debt

I just googled the byrons and thats kind of what I'm looking for except the broguing or w/e you called it would have the wing tip leather punch design.

That or be a wingtip without the stupid design on the tip of the toe, but just the outlining.

Ok, I think you mean 'Austerity Brogues'. They are nice, but I don't know how hard you'll have to look to find some in the $150.00 thereabouts. Here are some pics.

EDIT: I now understand what you mean. I don't think I've ever seen any wing tips without the brogueing on the outline AND the front with the exception being austerity brogues. But, there aren't any holes (that I can see, at least) period.

I really like those first ones you linked, anymore information on them, perhaps a website?
