Had to dig this up
My friend's all proclaimed me to be a hipster at this party last night based on the facts that:
-I wear flannels and v-neck tees
-My jeans (SEXSC06) fit me well and slim
-I like to go on Twitter/FB more than I'm willing to admit
-I admittingly proclaimed my interest in fashion and blogs (They jumped all over me on this)
-I was in denial that I was a hipster, thus making me a hipster (that was their logic)
My counter arguement:
-I don't listen to "hipster" music
-I don't drink PBR (I can chill on Corona/lime all day)
-I don't own a single piece of clothing from AA
-I've never gone thrifting before
-I despise keffiyahs being worn simply for fashion
-I'm not particularly photogenic nor am I a camera whore, infact i tend to shy away from photos most of the time
-I'm not pencil thin/anorexic, I go to the gym and have an athletic build
-I don't ride a fixed-gear bicycle
I was initially genuinely upset at their assumption but now that I think about it its fucken hilarious
I think I won with my counter arguement
At the very least though they all think I am stylish and classy
