What do you guys think? Obviously the cheapest and most efficient way to feed the masses, but a overall probably a bad call in terms of health and nutrition.

A good risotto is hard to beat...

Not necessarily "bad", but you could cut grains completely from your diet and not be missing out on anything, nutritionally speaking.

I love starch, but my health has improved so much it isn't even funny since I cut way down on them

Also true.
Brings nothing to the table if you already have a semi-balanced diet.

If i had to pick, I'd just eat meats/fish and fruits/veggies for the rest of my life. Maybe throw some nuts in there. Dairy/cheese comes after, and that's pretty much all i need.

I already barely eat rice/pasta/potatoes/bread

Same goes for beans. Cheap, not bad for you (well, can be), but not the best choice either.

I don't think there's anything wrong with eating quinoa or something like wheatberries.

Lentils are a great choice.

You might want to consult your physician first, or, enjoy your gout.

There's nothing wrong with eating any grains or starch. This thread fails.

Nothing wrong with not eating them either, which is all that's really being said.

Quinoa and oats both have their share of benefits.
