They also fit as tight as mens pants... Haven't seen the "slim shorts" thread, have ya?

The Gap shorts are obviously not KZO. However the KZO men's shorts are definitely more tapered than the Gap's women's shorts! I suppose we shouldn't be surprised. Most of Gap's customers are women over 30 year old who are 30 lbs or more overweight. Thus, they would feel most comfortable wearing such an asexual looking set of women's shorts. Where I live you generally only see middle aged overweight housewives wearing shorts like this. All the other younger women are wearing tight fitting short shorts or chopped off denim jean shorts. So trying to suggest the KZO shorts are overly effeminate by this comparison is not really apt.

Thanks for posting the comparison. I found it interesting how similar they look. As the weather has turned nicer for the summer, I've noticed that men are far more likely to be wearing shorts than women in my area. Why is this? Many of the thin younger women will be wearing shorts, but as you go upwards in age the percentage of women wearing shorts drops off quickly. But for men this is not the case-- I see both older and younger alike wearing shorts. Personally whenever I see a women wearing shorts similar to those Gap ones (which is rare sight in my area), I always think to myself they would look far better wearing jeans instead. It seems like the women's shorts that are unmistakably feminine are the short shorts and very tight jean shorts. Yet, I suspect overweight women feel uncomfortable wearing these. And if they wear something like those loose fitting asexual Gap ones, it looks just plain matronly (unless the woman is already totally beautiful looking).
