just found out today they're making a new theatrical movie of GET SMART starring Steve Carrell as Maxwell Smart and Anne Hathaway as Agent 99!! Perfect casting! but wont be out til 2008

I can't wait to see that smarmy apple guy get his ass kicked in Live Free or Die Hard (Die Hard 4)

I want to see The Last King of Scotland and Volver. I just saw Babel which was great. It's like the subtler, less insulting version of Crash.

Bobby was horrendous. So many excellent intentions. People are trying to flood movies with great acting now... not good.

I'm going to play the role of the pessimist here. Hollywood will find some way to fuck this up, no doubt. Shoe phone will get the high tech cellphone/MP3/cameraphone bullshit treatment. Cone of Silence will be gone I'm sure. Who's cast to play Chief? You couldn't get more perfect than Platt. And hopefully they keep the original theme music, and not use a cover version by some second-rate alternative-mall-punk shite band. But yeah, Carrell as Smart is a work of genius.

Oh the days of my youth spent coming home from school to turn on the tube just to watch Get Smart.
