I travel with a rolling bag and a large messenger as well. I can usually carry 5-7 days of stuff with me pretty easily.

Seriously, what if a person was to wear a sixteen pocket jacket onto the plane? You could stuff a lot of gear into those pockets, including a flimsy bag. Once the plane took off, you'd empty your pockets contents back into the bag. I had an earlier version of this: http://www.sasskit.co.uk/products/mi...karrysmock.htm I couldn't make do with a measly sixteen pockets, so added an extra four internal ones, taking it to twenty in all.
