I was watching Welcome Back, Kotter and couldn't help but notice Mr. Kotter's jacket in the episode Basket Case (Sept. 16, 1975).
The green corduroy is definitely in the "academic style", but what really caught my eye were the details: the suede (?) throat latch; the flapped pockets and little suede piping on the breast pocket flap; the action/bi-swing back; and finally the tall, center vent. Seems kinda rustic for a city setting, but pretty neat IMO.
