The film Rockers is a seminal document of the genre. I got to see Jimmy Cliff at a Caribbean music festival in DC last year and it was quite the experience. He's remarkably vital and joyous in his old age,

Nice to see people here also listen to this fantastic but often underestimated music a quick list of some of my favorites (I tend to like older stuff) Lee Perry Horace Andy The Heptones Johnny Osbourne Junior Syles Marcia Griffiths Groundation Capleton Derrick Harriott OHHH, and believe it or not, the Icelandic group Hjálmar makes some fantastic reggae (lightly mixed with tunes from traditional folk-music http://www.myspace.com/hjalmarmusic )

Super Cut is more Dancehall than Reggae.

my favorite artist is Tosh , Bob is a beast too along with Jah Cure & Gregory Isaacs.
