This is so eerie. Today the new roommate moved in. He is a graduate student from out-of-town, but he is going to be working in the governor's office over the summer. As if that weren't a big enough coincidence, he tells me that he interned in the U.S. House last year. The communications director for his Member worked on the same campaign as me last fall, and after I mentioned that campaign he goes, "You didn't know XXXXX, did you?" Sure enough, we both know the comm. director. Then, he tells me that he is getting a master's in religion. At first I think, "Oh great, nutjob." So I ask about his faith and he tells me that he doesn't subscribe to any single faith, but respects all religions. WTF! My exact position. I said that I didn't like calling myself an atheist because of the negative connotation and he replied that he feels the exact same way. He's also nerdy, like me. Is this dude an SF plant or something?
No way this happens by coincidence.

He has a (rather homely-looking) girlfriend.

This totally explains why we never heard anything about the Asian chick.
