My money's on Floyd. I consider him one of the greatest defensive and counter-punching boxers of all time. He enters virtually every fight as the underdog and leaves virtually every ring without a mark on his face. Not the most exciting boxer to watch, but certainly one of the most satisfying in a virtuosic, technical sense.

I say Mayweather eats the Pacman. It's about time the latter went through puberty anyway!

If I heard right, Mayweather got injured during a sparring session recently. Supposedly Mayweather's sparring partner gave him a good one to the ribs and broke a rib...

Here's a gift to you. Mainstream Money Mayweather is going to make the philippines feel disgraced for using pac as their ambassador in the sport of boxing.

Mayweather Jr Says He'd Be Willing To Pay Marquez Step Aside Money So He Could Fight Pacquiao Next by James Slater - Simply put, it's the fight all of boxing wants to see - reigning pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao against the man who held the mythical title before him, Floyd Mayweather Junior. And, according to the 39-0(25) master who is currently getting ready to make his return against Mexico's Juan Manuel Marquez, the fight with "Pac-Man" can happen; just so long as Pacquiao, and more so his promoter Bob Arum, stop being greedy. According to an article that has appeared today on The Mail on line, "Money" will never agree to a 50-50 split, insisting as he does that he doesn't have to chase any opponent, because they chase him.. Clearly, the 32-year-old's ego demands that he be the star of the much-sought after mega-fight, and Floyd says that is the only way the fight will happen; with him getting the edge money-wise. Interestingly, Mayweather Junior said he rates his next opponent in Juan Manuel Marquez as a better fighter than Pacquiao. Floyd claims Marquez deserved the win over Pacquiao when they fought to a draw. Also, his fight with Marquez back on now that his ribs have healed, Mayweather says he would be willing to pay the Mexican great a substantial amount of step aside money to allow him to go in with "Pac-Man" next. Now that the Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto fight looks to be in some doubt (see below article by Coach Tim Walker), maybe Mayweather is trying to land the November date in Las Vegas? Mayweather said only Bob Arum's greed is stopping the fight with Pacquiao. "He [Arum] wants a 50-50 split and that's never going to happen," Floyd said. "If Bob Arum wasn't trying to be so greedy, that fight would happen. It still is a business even if it is a sport. Marquez called me out and he deserves his shot. If Manny Pacquiao really wanted a fight with me, all he has to do is say it. "We could pay Marquez to step aside, a million dollars, step aside. Let me know. With or without Pacquiao I'm comfortable. I don't chase opponents, they chase me." Mayweather then hyped up his September 19th fight with Marquez, saying he rates the Mexican higher then he does the Filipino superstar. "If I had to rate Marquez against Pacquiao I'd have to rate him over Manny," Mayweather said. "For a guy who got knocked down three times in the first round (in fight-one) and come back and get a draw. We all know who really lost. And then we go to the other fight and Manny won by one point but these things happen. "Marquez is a Mexican warrior and I know he's going to be at his best when he comes and faces me. I've got to go out there and be me, be sharp and be smart." It will be most interesting to see if Mayweather's offer of step aside money is taken up by Marquez. It will also be interesting to see if Pacquiao is ever going to be willing to take less than 50-percent against Mayweather to make their super-fight happen (not that he in any way has to do so).

Look at you, you already fucked up.

If you're so confident in your man why don't you throw up more on him?

You are so funny, just eating up Floyd's crap over there. He'd chuck a Michael Jackson sooner than get in the ring with Pac. He knows he's a dead man. He needs the money for retirement because that's where a fight against Manny will land him.

Because this isn't my only wager.

If the fight ever goes down I'm in for $20 against the pacman. I'll be waiting!

That is just Money being Money. he plays a lot of mind games and really gets his opponents mad at him. Remember when he almost got jumped in I think Puerto Rico for talking trash to the people? Also when he came out in Mexican music and sombrero during his match against DLH? This is just him being him and he plays the bad guy to a tee. The problem is, Pacman is too busy making movies and running for mayor or governor so I do not really think Money is phasing him.

I still have to see how Money fares against Marquez to make a decision, Money took a long break and maybe, just maybe he lost something during that time. So we'll see but for now, Pacman wins it via split decision. I can't imagine Money being knocked out but then again I didn't think Pacman would obliterate DLH and Hatton, ending one mans career and probably ending the other as well.

That's twice you slipped in one thread.

Boxing needs a bad guy. Remember what happened in Roy Jones Jr vs Calzaghe? They couldn't sell anything since both of those guys were friends.

Mayweather gets it easy. pac has already shown the world how much he struggles against skilled counter punchers, in Juan Manual Marquez, with his questionable draw and win against him.

I agree, I love Money as a villain because after all that talk, he still proves it in the ring. But you got to admit that Money won't be as famous, or at least as talked about, if he didn't have a big mouth and I love it. He makes boxing somewhat exciting, although his style is somewhat boring, it is smart and effective.

Pacman does have a problem with good counter punchers because he is a brawler but he looks faster in the higher weight class though. I can't quite put my finger on it but I think he can handle it and land a few shots in at Money, especially if he isn't 100% as before.

I am, am I? Suddenly your opinion has become fact? You're that one that is slipping with your questionable selection here, Chief. Concede now or face the consequences later.

Don't worry you are safe. Floyd will never face him. We are wasting our time.

This is true. He doesn't exactly fight in a way that casual boxing fans or those who aren't involved in the sport would admire. I became a fan after seeing him break down all the technical stuff involved in the philly shell. Anyways, for those who love the technical side of boxing we'll be getting our money's worth watching him on PPV. He won't MIKE TYSON us with a ridiculously early KO on HBO.

I wonder if you're really that confident in manny, or if you just hate Mainstream Money Mayweather?
