Just thought it would be fun to see what everybody will be cooking or eating on our Nation's Birthday.
I'll be cooking pork spare ribs w/tips attached. I will be using a rub, but unfortunately my loft condo doesn't permit me to smoke them. That'll change one we move into the new house next month.
If anybody is interested this is the recipe I use for the rub. It's almost perfect, but not quite sweet enough so I triple the brown sugar.
We'll also be having homemade Mac 'N Cheese as well as buttermilk biscuits, chilled watermellon, and baked beans. I won't be amping up my baked beans the way I'd normally go just to keep them safe in case I have to feed any vegetarians later today (no bacon).
As for beverages we're normally beer snobs, but today we're livin' the Highlife.
