Help, Wordpress Nerds (Removing CSS Encryption)

So... I'm working on a blog. I have a URL but until I finish design work (have a friend who works at Design Kitchen that's going to (hopefully) help me)), it's going to sit at lvlfive.wordpress.com. My problem is that I used this theme, which is rather nice, Grid Focus, however it has footer encryption. What the fuck is this shit? I've read tutorials on how to remove it server-side, however I'm using the free hosting service and the CSS editor they've given me (or rather, the one I paid for) is rather limited. How do I remove encryption?! I still plan on giving credit to WP as my host, and dude for his original theme. Anyone know what to do? My last resort after this is contacting the guy...

I'm pretty sure you will need direct access to the footer.php file.
