I've done the same. Fit at collar was a bit aggressive and after a couple of washes the shirt was perfect at the shoulders/body but collar was a bit to tight so, easy fix - perfect shirt.

Seems reasonable to me, i think they should have coordinated lines with every suit line, the Regent and fitz are slim, but there is nothing OTR that coordinates with it.

^ Exactly, but BB aren't the only ones guilty of this. Aren't RLBL shirts also cut kinda big to fit under their rather slim fitting suits?

Of course you can, but that still doesn't explain why their current slim fit shirts are so damn blousy. I'd be curious to know what height/weight they make their 15.5/33 shirts for. Fwiw, I'm 5'7''/145 lbs and 15.5 isn't a fat neck by any means. On the other hand, someone who actually fills their slim fit or even worse, their reg fit, in that same size would probably be considered to have a disproportionately thin neck.

I also have no issue with their current slim fits. I wear a 15/32 and am 5'9" and 165 lbs...even when I was 150/155 they weren't THAT baggy.

I don't want them any slimmer. They fit me well since they are slimmer than standard but not painted on. There are plenty of other makers for that.

Well, to be fair, you're a pretty thin guy. Also, I think forum members typically like their shirts far tighter than necessary to be 'correct'. I'm 5'4" and 130 lbs., and I have my shirts made with a 15.75" collar and the slim-fit body normally matched with a 14.5" collar. The shirts fit well to me, but I'm sure most of you guys would say they're too blousy. My Matuozzo shirts are only slightly more fitted.

This is a new fit, not changing the current fit.

20lbs more over a 2'' height difference makes for a very different build.

How do you know your 15.75'' slim fit shirts have the body of 14.5 collared shirts? Is this something you specified when ordering or did you figure it out by comparing your shirts to rtw offerings?

That's how I ordered them. When you get fitted, they measure your neck to get your collar size, and then have you try on a bunch of mock shirts sized by collar to figure out the appropriate body to match.

David-

You may be extra-slim - IIRC from Jay Kos - but for the Slim Fit is pretty slim for me. I'm a 15" neck, 38" chest and the 14.5" Slim Fit is just about painted on for me. Maybe they'll start by fixing the collar size difference and call the line Super Slim.

M,

Was this done using their Digital Tailor?

`Whether it is the button-down oxford or the non-iron shirt, Brooks Brothers has nearly two centuries of introducing innovations to its generations of customers. Our Digital Tailor, currently available in our flagship store on Madison Avenue, is an example of our most recent innovations. Using a safe, white light technology, our Digital Tailor takes a 3D image of your body in just 12 seconds yielding hundreds of measurements that are electronically transmitted to the factory where a personalized pattern is made specifically for you. Our trained professionals will then assist you in selecting ideal fabrics, model, and details to create the suit, sport coat, trouser, or dress shirt that is customized to fit your body.`

Nope. Like I said, they took measurements and had me try on mock shirts to find the right fit.

+1

I am 5'9" with a 31 inch waist and 39 inch chest. The BB "slim fit" shirts do not fit. Even if I "size down" so that I cannot button the neck, there are no mens sizes that fit both my shoulders and waist.

M, I'm quite surprised you went with BB MTM, given all the custom shirt options you have in NYC. Also, the resulting shirts appear to have so little BB left in them!

Interesting as I would have thought you would be a candidate for the extra slim fit from when we met. For me, the slim fit shirts they have now are much too big around the chest, waist and top of the arms. They definitely appear billowy on me. A few inches taken in all around that area would be great. The few custom shirts I have are not painted on me at all. Rather relaxed and naturally looking yet fitted. Hopefully these BB shirts will achieve something to that affect. FWIW, I'm 6'1, 165 and wear a 15.5/34 for BB shirts.
