Well this is probably too late Pio, but isn't thai peanut sauce made from milk? Wouldn't that interfere with Kosher?

"Kosher style." Big difference from actually keeping kashrut. And there's no milk in this.

Masoor Dal soured with tamarind paste
Green Beans with Urad Dal
Green chilli chicken (made with 20 small uber hot Indian chiles to about 3,000 degrees F)
Steamed basmati Rice
Homemade Mango ice cream with Rose water
Masala Chai tea

My wife is out of town so it's the only time I get to cook Indian food, smoke cigars and drink bourbon. I'm not sure if its the smell of the food she objects to or the farts afterward.

I'll be cooking pork spare ribs w/tips attached. I will be using a rub, but unfortunately my loft apt doesn't permit me to smoke them. That'll change one we move into the new house next month. If anybody is interested this is the recipe I use for the rub. It's almost perfect, but not quite sweet enough so I triple the brown sugar. We'll also be having homemade Mac 'N Cheese as well as buttermilk biscuits, chilled watermellon, and baked beans. I won't be amping up my baked beans the way I'd normally go just to keep them safe in case I have to feed any vegetarians later today (no bacon). As for beverages we're normally beer snobs, but today we're livin' the Highlife.

Sounds like dinner at my mother-in-law's house (and I totally mean that in a good way)!

I am envious. Hopefully you finish it off with bourbon like I do as well!

Damn redcoat. But since it's Wimbledon you get a pass for having Pimm's on the 4th, and they are a great summer drink.

+1. Plus you get a healthy dose of fruits and vegetables in every serving. It's sort of like the V-8 of cocktails, only it's delicious.

Had the usual hamburgers, hot dogs, fried chicken tenderloins. In addition, fried zucchini, baked beans, and the always necessary bacon weave with Famous Dave's Sweet & Zesty BBQ sauce on it.

Cleaned the old charcoal grill that has not been used for two years. Grilled a whole bunch of hanger steaks, some burgers, hot dogs, zucchini and portobellos. Burned a whole bunch of buns and over cooked a few things since I forgot how quickly things cook on the grill. Also served and green salad and mashed potatoes. Made some sangria following a recipe from a cocktail book and realized it was way to strong, though the family did not seem to mind. Opened a bottle of Condado de Haza Ribera del Duero which went well with the steak.
