I got a text msg a while back, obviously not for me, so I send back "wrong number" . Then I get back "who are you".WTF

Oh, that's nothing, I had someone call me I didn't hear it so I called back right away, no pick up, 30 sec. later I got a text "who are you", which I replied "who are you, you called me", "who the fuck are you","listen chubby you called me and its common decency to present one self, when you start a conversation", "who are you".

2 hours later "who are you"
1 week later "who are you"
1 month later "who are you"

I also once got a text saying the were going on vacation and the keys were in the shed, obviously I texted back "thanks for the notice, you have a nice tv".

Yeah, I hate it when people call back on shit like this. If it was important, I would have left a message...instead I figured out it was the wrong number and hung up so you wouldn't be bothered (of course if they picked up, I wouldn't just hang up on them, I would apologize for having the wrong number first). Maybe they are just desperate for attention?

Sometimes this happens with people I know too (although it is a little more understandable). I hit the wrong person on my phone and hang up. Its one thing if you call back right away since maybe you didn't feel it vibrating or it was on the other side of the room and you think you just missed the last ring...but its kinda weird when you call back hours later. I didn't leave a voicemail, call again, or send a text...if it was important, I probably would have done one of those.

laugh.gif at the TV text.

I've gotten the "who are you" and "who is this" stuff before, too.

I once allegedly destroyed a relationship with a text message to a random number. As a joke, I grabbed a friend's phone and texted something like "you were great last night" to a bunch of randomly-entered digits. The next morning, said friend got a phone call from some dude asking why my friend had texted him, and informing my friend that his girl had seen the message and gone nuts over it.

I don't mind a callback or text, but this guy sounded like I was harassing him. That's what I don't get.

I actually really like it. I haven't seen many episodes, but it seems very real, and poignant.

The one time I got texts from a random it was all in spanish. I asked this girl I worked with to translate. It had something to do with them being in the city and a mutual friend said they should get together and such. I just used google translator to type really nasty stuff to them, like super scatological things to make myself laugh when they would get back to me. They weren't happy.

Clearly someone who wants to be harassed.

My phone no. is one digit away from a local doctors, it leads to some funny voicemails.

At one time I had a phone number that, based on the weird late night voice-mails, I concluded had previously belonged to a male prostitute.

It really helped to bring in extra cash.

My favorite wrong number, though, was the time I got a collect call from a guy in prison in TX who was trying to reach his girlfriend. I said what the hell and accepted the charges, and he gave me a message to pass on to her. I called her up to pass on the message and she started screaming about how that asshole could rot in jail for all she cared.

I have to say when I get a wrong number and I say, "I think you have the wrong number," if they blurt "WHO IS THIS?" as they most often do I always point out they called me so they should know who this is.

whenever someone calls me after they've dialed the wrong number, i'm always tempted to go "oh. you didn't hear? XYZ was admitted to the hospital this afternoon after an erotic asphyxiation accident we had. doctors don't know the prognosis."

Many years ago I was assigned a number that was obviously the long time phone number for someone else. This one guy, and I knew it was the same guy from caller ID, kept calling and asking for the previous dood. After a month of explaining he was no longer at the number I told him the guy died. He started bawling on the phone...but he never called again.
