Oh crap, I didn't know the cereal had crack as one of its ingredients. Guess that explains why I've been playing the fool tonight, committing crimes and whatnot.

Why is flying so safe? I don't get why planes aren't crashing every week.

Sure, my phone has a perfectly good alarm, and it is super handy compared to trusting a hotel clock when travelling...but my alarm clock doesn't get software updates (or have other apps that can crash or drain the battery) and it is always by my bedside. In fact, it has been waking me up reliably since 2005.

Why would you want some noisy as fuck thing to wake you up? Don't you like sleeping?

Look at the contact patch on those tires. Those cars must have the grip of those old horseless carriages. Plus those suspensions must have no rebound in them...do they go flying off the road with every unexpected bump or turn?

funny, I was just reading that you're more likely to be killed by a vending machine than a plane crash

Good engineers, good regulation, and we make sure only experts are allowed to fly the things. We let any yahoo who wants to drive a car, but even to just fly yourself around in a Cessna you have to have pretty extensive training.

How do aircraft carriers float ? You have any idea how much those things weigh?

The more important question is why are all restaurant / cafe tables wobbly?

Because they don't let rednecks called jimbo fly and it's all automated.

Displacement.

The mass displaced weighs more the the item displacing it.

I have been thinking for years, what would happen if we remove all boats from the seas, will the sea level sink?

my desk is from Muji, and I love it. The feet that touch the ground are screwed in, which means they can be adjusted for no wobble.

Because it is awesome.

I find that Target often has it priced much cheaper. They don't always have it (I was worried they discovered they were losing money by selling it for the same price as normal cereal), but I will happily pick some up when it's not like $5 for a little box.

Lols this guy spilled his drink on my wife and I. After we cleaned up he tried to give me 50 bucks. I guess that's his way of apologizing

I always pay more than $5 for the little box. Maybe I should check out my local Target.

That's his way of paying for your dry cleaning bill.

Not appreciably.

Perspective is a fascinating thing . It really does seem impossible that ships float and airplanes can fly . Another similar example I was given once in an astronomy class was that if reduced in scale the highest concentration of stars in the galaxy would be approximately equivalent to two golf balls in the Pacific Ocean
