I don't get why I cannot get a host of Tool lyrics out of my head today.

I was one of the first Myspace subscribers.

one of my friends in college took a job at Facebook when he graduated (we all rolled our eyes a bit. doh!). One of the duties was reviewing the "flagged" photos, and the stories of the stuff that people posted was hilarious.

not that i remember, this was 3+ years ago. The funniest part was he could just do the work from home from his laptop, but because it was beautiful out, he thought "fuck it, i'll just work from Starbucks!".

didn't work out so well considering the job entailed looking at nasty home made porno.

its what happened to friendster too. and a certain island of people and the entirety of its population (around 90,000,000 and their far far reaching friends and families spread over the different continents) got hold of it and friendster ended up going under. i actually miss friendster - you could creep so well on that sight.

which brings me to something I don't get: why post more than 5 pictures of a specific event on Facebook? I have female friends that uploaded hundreds of pictures of their wedding or a vacation. I only look at what shows up on the front page anyway - hell if I'm actually going to click and look through an album.

and don't forget multiply...

People who automatically request a read receipt with every email they send. Seriously, you don't need confirmation I've received every little message you feel compelled to shoot my way.

People who do this automatically go on my "watch out" list. They strike me a neurotic, and trying to accumulate ammo for something in the future. These tend to be the same people who cc your boss and their boss with every email. Assholes.

I like to cc email addresses that the recipient doesn't recognize, just to keep him honest. He thinks "oh my, I'm being supervised by people I haven't even met. This must be important."

Do you make up the email addresses?

i've played with the idea of taking the emails of people who I know use read receipts, and signing them up for as many mailing lists as possible. Must wait until they're on vacation for it to really have the intended impact.

I have a stock of e-mail addresses that belong to me. Also, I often cc people from the forum, such as Neo, Bhowie, and mensimageconsultant.
