I found this model by my apartment's trash area last week (end of month moving day...there were some decent lamps, a microwave, and a toaster sitting there too). I cleaned it up thinking I might try having a "real" trash can (I use paper grocery bags under the sink for all of my trash). The thing is very nice. Solid, no-fingerprint "stainless", and the inside is removable so you can just carry it to the trash and dump instead of pulling the bag. The step-mechanism is fairly robust (won't break like some cheap cans) and has nice soft-close and prop-open features.
So...I am conflicted: They make a fancy-assed trash can, but they are also very expensive for a garbage receptacle. I also have no idea how fingerprint proof stainless works...is it a coating that will eventually wear off and make the thing look shitty after a few years?

I don't think I want it. I don't have a good space to put a round can in my kitchen, and I enjoy the fact that right now, my garbage is not visible since it is inside of a cabinet. So if either of you want to come and pick it up, it is yours (but I'm not going to find a big-ass box and mail this thing).

I love how you can find these insanely expensive high tech garbage cans but trying to find a mediocre ironing board is literally impossible.

Try finding a trash company that leaves your cans upright and a cleaners that doesn't break all your shirt buttons. I've finally found the latter after a multi-year search.

BTW, I actually have a Simple Human and a Brabantia trash can, they're good, but not $100 good.

it is a stupid system, especially if it involves adorable names like Nemo for giant storms.

"how did you lose your grandmother"

"that giant storm"

"Sandy?"

"no ... Nemo"

"ohhhhhhhhh. ha. sorry. Nemo."

I'll admit my bathroom's tiny garbage can was like $65

I wash and iron all of my own shirts and I love bragging about it.

You're a saint. I'd rather mine salt.

If you want a good ironing board, one of these:

http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/2593788/?catalogId=21&bnrid=3120901&cm_ven=Google_PLA&cm_cat=Homekeeping&cm_pla=Irons_&_Laundry_Care&cm_ite=Brabantia_Deluxe_Ironing_Board_|_Williams-Sonoma&srccode=cii_17588969&cpncode=33-138640998-2

Brabantia's are good but not cheap.

The iron holder things on the end suck major horses ass. All big ironing boards seem to have them as well. Creates tons of issues, AMIRITE, Harvey??????

That's a no go. I believe PB, like myself, uses the fat end of the board for ironing shirts so that little shelf would get in the way.

EDIT - Lol, I was typing this before I saw your reply.

I didnt own that specific model, but the one I had was removable. This was like 15 years ago though. That one may be.

I've been hearing we are mostly getting rain.

Y'know, I'd like some good snow at this point. We still haven't really gotten any, and this is after last year where we got none.

mostly rain seems like a long shot. It's just a matter of 2-3" or something like 6-8".

I hope it latter.
