I don't get sirius radio. Even the cheapest plans with discounts seem like a rip off for what you're actually getting. Plus you pull under a 10ft bridge and the signal goes dead.

Years ago, like 04 or so, when this was first rolling out and you just had shitty plug ins for your stereo, XM radio was great. They had this channel, Chrome, that had the best chill/trip hop/ambient type stuff non stop. Then things got shitty.

I've loved Howard Stern ever since I was a little kid... but there's no way I'm paying the $8-$12 a month just so I can listen to him 3 times a week with the rest of the time listening to old looped archived shows.

Plus any major sporting event will be played on the radio through the ESPN affiliates.

pandora may be made fun of... but its awesome when you're driving.

talk radio sucks now... basically everyone has moved to podcasts...

I did not even bother hooking up the Sirius in my new lease, and I got six months free, as it just sucks so hard now. My iPod gives me all I need for drive time.

It's nice if you're traveling, especially through rural areas. Internet radio is great and has largely supplanted SiriusXM, but satellite still has wider coverage. Beats having to hunt for crappy local radio stations every few minutes when you're driving through the mountains.

I use it mostly for NPR though shog[1].gif No pledge drives on satellite too!

just saw something about Big Bang Theory having 20,000,000 viewers not long ago. WTF is wrong with people?

No one ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of SiriusXM for long distance trips. When I travel eastward through the mountains and areas God forgot, satellite saves the day.

I don't get why avocado seeds are so big.
I have wondered this as well... I hate when you buy this giant, big, ripe avocado only to cut it open and see the seed takes up two thirds of the inside.
