The Big Bang Theory is the epitome of everything wrong with most sitcoms. Atrocious.

It caters to a niche audience. Why do you find it atrocious?

That niche has an enormous market share though. I can understand why some of you dislike it. I personally enjoy it quite a bit.

Some episodes can be boring but overall I enjoy it too. It has the direct, in-your-face sense of humor that I like (similar to the movie The Ugly Truth).

I meant an example of someone who does this. I've never seen it before except in Nigerian Email Scams or Penis Englargement Spam.

I was just giving you the berries. A recent post in the Happy thread reminded me of this:

seing people find ways to justify 1500$ for a pair fo shoes makes me feel very happy to the fact that i work in the field of marketing for the shoe industry!

But I also see it at Basenotes.

It is predictable, has stereotyped characters and is not funny.

I haven't seen much of it, so I don't want to make too sweeping a judgment, but this is exactly what I thought. The characters seem just like walking, talking stereotypes, and the jokes are almost always about the stereotypes.

In my limited experience this occurs when the author deals in multiple currencies. If you are used to saying and thinking 1,00000 Yen or 5 USD then it is reasonably easy to type 5$ unless you're concentrating. In the same way that you occasionally see people who will write $7.000 instead of $7,000.

Pretty sure that was a spammer.

I have only seen about 20 minutes total. Don't let a small sample size prevent you from judging.

I can't believe that all those people I see on facebook bemoaning the loss of Twinkies actually ate Twinkies with any frequency. I don't get why everyone is bemoaning the loss of them.

It was an iconic American brand.

Yeah, but nobody really ate them, they just mocked them.

Besides, they'll be back. Either they'll start up under a new name, or somebody will buy the assets and start it up again. This just looks like a tactic to dick over the union so executives can continue to give themselves comfy bonuses while they claim the business is failing.

I don't get singing overly complicated versions of the Star Spangled Banner and Happy Birthday.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I was just at a birthday party for a little girl. the annoying aunt was trying to sing a "special" happy birthday while everyone naturally just jumped in and overrided her with the normal version of Happy Birthday. The aunt looked offended and angry. I was just giddy inside. Just sing the regular happy birthday song bitch. Don't get me started on going all Mariah Carrey w/ Star Spangled Banner.
