I get this and do this - it's important if people want to sue you later while alleging you have or have not said something.

I hate that. I opened a door for some old guy only last week, and he walked past without even saying thank you. What an asshole.
In line with this one, I don't understand why people fail to lift up their hand for a thank-you wave after you go out of your way to let them into your lane.
