Betimes I have this reoccurring dream where I kill somebody and find myself immediately in a compromised position where I need to hide the body temporarily until I can dispose of it properly. In the dream it is always the same, crumpled into a 50 gallon garbage bag in a basement. After temporarily storing it in this basement I forget about the murder completely for some time. Then it rushes into my mente as I am waking up one morning that I need to properly dispose of the body so it can never be found. The thought of dealing with this decayed body disgusts me so much that I put off dealing with it for a very long time. Once I get the nerve to finally meet the putrid body again, I approach this basement with caution and I wake up. I wonder what this could mean?

I remember talking to a working musician I used to know. He played piano in local bands (who worked regularly) and so I figured that he was at least a local-level piano prodigy.

Nope. It turned out that he didn't even use his left hand most of the time and most of what he was playing was stuff I probably could have picked out by listening to a song once or twice (and I haven't played piano since I was about nine years old).

Professional singing is really easy if you happen to be blessed with a phenomenal singing voice. Otherwise, not so much.

my singing voice has mellowed down to a baritone over the past few years which is a bit of a bummer since i was happy with how my voice used to sound.

on the other hand, i get hella compliments on my speaking voice these days.

A good friend of mine is a baritone and is a young artist in a major city opera.

It's easy for 10 years or so until you blow out your voice and have to undergo vocal cord surgery to salvage your career...

If you have good rhythm and feel you can go far without having great technique. If you have bad rhythm, you'll step all over everyone else and stick out. Rhythm can't be faked.
