I kind of felt like I had started to find a home on StyFo and then people started taking potshots at my favorite mopey alt-band of all time. Now I just don't know.

If only little Mathis were here he would console you.

Now apparently there's a thing called "Forgotten Baby Syndrome" means you forgot that you left a baby in a hot car all alone.

Never heard of that but if the syndrome name field is open I'm currently suffering from Forgot That If I Just Finished A Burrito And Chips For Lunch I Probably Should Have Skipped The Cookies Syndrome.

I guess that means that I have "phantom baby syndrome", since I often have a sudden sensation of my kids presence when he's not around.

Why on earth would you make an entire movie about a kid who gets powers from Michael Jordan's shoes....and not actually use Air Jordans in the movie??? puzzled.gif

I think it's so funny people are putting others down for playing using the Pokemon go app, when they really aren't any better.

Is there a delivery service that's not incompetent? I've had major problems with UPS, FedEx, and USPS within the past 2 days.
Answer: no.

Next question: whose delivery personnel can escape the fastest after they ring your doorbell, so that they don't have to actually talk to you?

My money is on UPS. That fucking brown truck is halfway down the block by the time I open the door, no matter how fast I react. FedEx, I can at least catch occasionally.

Worst is USPS - slow ass government workers

UPS doesn't even ring my doorbell sometimes. I haven't left the apartment all day, go downstairs, and there's a notice on the door. I don't blame the drivers; I blame the managers who are trying to bleed every drop of efficiency out of them. It's brilliant. They've figured out how to pass the buck to the customer with these UPS Access Points. They don't even try to redeliver. Just drop it off, and make the customer pick it up.

Today, it happened with USPS. There's a key box for the mailman to get in to the inside mailboxes. The lazy bastard didn't use it and just shoved everyone's mail through the slot in the door, then marked my package delivery as "receptacle blocked" without even ringing the bell.

They don't even knock or ring the doorbell anymore, so the package could be lying outside my door for hours without me knowing.

edit - Van Veen posted about 10 seconds before I did
