Gets mail from company that wants to work with me. Reply to the mail, no answer.

Two weeks later I get exact same mail from another employee at the same company.

I saw a rap video yesterday (wasn't trying to just came in to my field of vision). The first thing I noticed was that the gestures rappers do when they rap don't seem to have changed at all over the last twenty years.

Basically I am to a point now where ain't no one care about my Facebook posts unless they are about the keetays. I can imagine the day where I post something of great importance such as "Hey everone would you believe it I am engaged to be married woohoooo!!!" and the comments will be like "That's nice how's Diderik doing?" and "I hope Diderik approves of this life partner if not you got to call it off straightaway."

Glassdoor emails me regularly to tell me that new people have added salary information for a former employer. Why would I care about new salary information or reviews of an old employer?

There is a very ingenious product called RING, which is a very distinctive doorbell, that calls your cell phone & allows you to see who's there & communicate with them. The commercial shows a would be burglar ringing the bell & the homeowner from the beach has a conversation with the burglar that sends the burglar looking for an empty house.
Now in a perfect world, burglars would not watch TV & would be thwarted by this product. In the real world, burglars watch TV & are probably very alert to anything that pertains to their profession. A burglar that had seen this commercial would simply knock on the door to confirm that the house was empty, thereby making this product sort of useless.
I'm reminded of another product that was made useless by advertising it. Galco several years ago came up with this very distinctive fanny pack that you could carry your handgun in without attracting anyone's attention. They then put full page ads in Guns & Ammo. This magazine is viewed by normal citizens & bad guys & police. So anyone that has an interest in guns would notice the fanny pack & know you were carrying thus defeating the whole purpose.

DUH!

Now I'm not in the burgling industry, so maybe I'm way off base here. However, it seems to me that any burglar who is conscientious enough to keep track of such developments would also be aware of, and deterred by, the fact that this technology means the homeowner now has a picture of said home invader.

I'd imagine there'd be all sorts of presentations about that at Burgling Continuing Professional Education seminars. Plus there are undoubtedly tons of business-hustling folks in the burgling support community who are posting articles about it on LinkedIn and such.

That sounds . . . ambiguous.
