I approve of using "greenfrog" as an AKA for "girlfriend."

Yeah right, like I'm really going to hire a housecleaning service that introduces itself by littering my neighborhood and front door with their shitty-ass door hangers.

That is awesome.

I always hear people praise my city for its location, saying it's only 3 hours away from everything! One of those places is Shitlanta so that doesn't count. Wouldn't you rather live somewhere where it's a desirable location itself? I dont want to drive 3 hours all the time just to enjoy myself.

Depends on what you mean by desirable. Living in a major city, for example, strikes me as desirable about 15 percent of the time. The rest would just be a hassle. You don't want to live in a crappy location, of course, but it's nice to be able to access the good stuff when you want it without having to deal with the rest of it on a daily basis.

i remember seeing san luis obispo at the top of one of those lists. of course there's no beach in slo, but why let a little thing like that get in the way?

Funny story about that movie. I had taken my boat over to Monterey salmon fishing and was spending the night in the harbor . Nothing to do that night so we walked to a nearby theater . Lost Boys ? Never heard of it. Oh well nothing else to do. We laughed our asses off. It's actually more spot on than people realize

One thing I have seen more and more on my Facebook page is that someone will quote a person's opinion on some issue of the day. Then underneath the quote it will say something like "BOOM goes tha truth bomb!!!" or "Ain't no more words need be said that will shut up all the naysayers right quick!!!" But in reality there's probably not a single person whose views on the issue of the day will be changed by the quote. And it will certainly not cause anyone to shut up about said issue. Why do people pretend that the world works that way?
