Some ATMs print a receipt even if you don't ask...no idea why.

At a big festival concert a couple of years ago, all of the porta-ATMs did this, so the place was just littered with receipts. My friend and I made a game of simultaneously picking up a random receipt and seeing who had the higher balance. We could have further evolved this into looking at the results privately and then betting on who had the higher value (sort of akin to liars poker) but...we were at a festival...

It was pretty amazing how little money people had*. If you've only got $300 in your account, I don't know how great of an idea it is to withdraw $100 for beer at an event you paid 2-300 to attend. I swear, we played this game quite a few times, and if you picked up a receipt >1000, you were pretty much guaranteed to win since I only remember seeing like 5 of them.


*I mean, I know there are a lot of kids at these things, but they can't buy the beer so it must not be them taking out the money.

How come people have so many old photos of themselves to share with the world on TBT of Throwback Thursday? If someone taksked me with finding a photo of myself from 20 years ago, I would straight up fail.

Not yet.

I've seen some accounts with $100's of $1000's. I think that is stupid. You could be earning on that money. In general I don't keep all that much money in a checking account.

I, too, keep it under my mattress.
