The family member thing gets tricky when you have to decide where the cut off is.

Parents, spouse, your own kids. No siblings, no cousins, nothing else.

Really? Do you have a Brady Bunch kinda family? I have one brother… he would be set without question.

Truth.  I park as far away from everyone as I can, often in a spot where I can only be parked to on one side, come out, 90% of the time, I'm parked next to.

I think I'd handle and manage it well as long as I could claim it anonymously. I'd immediately hire a lawyer to set up trusts for family members and then sock a good chunk of it in conservative investments.

Then I'd blow 100 mil on fast cars. Probably wouldn't spend any on hookers cause of Low T.

Did they win 900M?  I thought there were three winners.

Related though, all my coworkers were making fun of me for not playing the lottery because apparently I'm too cheap.  Yet, they all bought 5-10 tickets and none of them even won back their money.

I would make a very good rich person and would be the opposite of "is broke in 3 years."

There were three tickets so no one got $900 mil and probably some of those tickets were in pools.

Just me but I think anyone that wins huge money should immediately buy several annuities with a material portion of the proceeds. True, annuities can be lump sum monetized but it takes some effort and a special kind of stupid to have blown through millions and then burn through your last, protected income stream.

I would turn dat 900 million into 9,000 million (9 billion).

The first thing I would do if I won is legally move to North Dakota.  It is one of the few states that allows you to claim your winnings anonymously.  It also has the lowest state income tax rate of those states at ~3%.

Yeah there are three winners now but only one confirmed last night right after the drawing.

I didn't buy any tickets either, though I was certainly tempted to. Laziness won at the end of the day.

I would not even attempt that. Having $9 billion would not impact how I live more than having $900 million and I'd much rather just enjoy the money vs. worrying about trying to grow it.

I would.... not tell anyone, and not take the lump sum.

I don't understand confirming/claiming your winnings immediately.  At least let the excitement/interest die down a bit.  Plus, you would want to get an attorney and maybe even a financial manager first.

I'd hook my siblings up with a little lovin'. Most are self sufficient so it'd basically be a treat as opposed to my replacing their welfare checks.

I'd lose my shit out of sheer disbelief for the night and then start making calls to law firms, asking for a BSD partner to help me manage my shit.
