They've been doing that in Canada for a long time. Harvey's, Swiss Chalet, Horton's, Subway. Harvey's and SC were the most common ones I remember.

Damn, now I want a Harvey's burger. Those were some damn good burgers 30 years before the whole "gourmet burger" thing.

I see Horton's and Cold Stone around a lot, which I think is weird since if I'm not in the mood for breakfast food, then the next thing I'm probably going to be in the mood for is usually not ice cream.

at least a DD is small and doesn't take up a lot of space. They really don't produce much on premise, so rents in some of the locations isn't terrible. If you see a giant Chase or HSBC in USQ, then that branch is basically there as a billboard and itsn't making any money. The banks just eat that up as advertising costs. It's the same with a lot of places in Times Square where the rents are hilariously high.

That place is awesome, but before they moved into that space, they were in a pretty dingy spot around the corner. Sandwiches were good, but I bet there's a pretty big contingent of suburban commuters who would never even walk into a place that looked like that....a couple wobbly tables on a tile floor, dingy menu board, sandwiches were mostly made in the back IIRC.

Now the space is big and bright and you can see all of the fresh ingredients...but a lot of people would be happy to walk past the old spot and step into Chipotle instead.

I don't see the point in sandwiches. I just buy a pound of meat and eat it with my hands. Who needs all of that other filler?

nonsense, there are few things better than a well done sandwich.

you know your meat place opened up a sandwich shop around the corner from me. Excellent sandwiches.

gah, it was almost $35 for 2 medium sized sandwiches, a side of waffle fries, and a water.

I know, there is one by Gimme Coffee on Lorimer as well. Haven't tried them yet. Will probably order some meat on a plate and an empty beer bottle to break in the middle of munching on some meat.

yep, that's the one. I mean it's very good, just $$$$$. And the veggie sandwich sucks, $13 for a potato roll stuffed with normal sandwich toppings. Needs a central ingredient.

I've been noticing women's bodies lately. I have been enjoying looking at them recently. Not sure why.

it's because while you moan about it getting warmer, women have been shedding the winter coats for spring wear.

What is it about their bodies that causes me to want to look at them? I don't understand.

it's because you are a lesbian

Oh yeah, that's right.

I don't get how Ranger Rovers can be such immensely capable all-terrain vehicles, yet there's a 50/50 chance you'll actually make it to the grocery store before it breaks down.

(i know, sticklers, that 50/50 is pushing it. but only just)
