The whole "collection" thing is ridiculous when you really stop and think about it. If people are honest with themselves, most will admit that they are afflicted with the desire to accumulate or collect items which are substantially useless. The funny thing is that most will never think about it. They will just accumulate the junk. Then when they die their heirs will sell the whole group of figurines to another collector for 25% of what was originally paid for them.
It is a mindless, pointless, expensive activity.
