I get that. Totally see how comcast could win...

But what I don't get is how they just barely beat Monsanto? Monsanto got some bad PR from suing farmers who reuse seeds or have their crops fertilized by the Monsanto crops their neighbors used...but that was a couple of years ago. That's pretty shitty, but I am not aware of anyting recent that would make them the worst company in the eyes of average folk. In fact, they seem like a pretty decent company all around. Agree or disagree with the GMO thing (which is only a fraction of their business, and they also sell non-GMO seeds), they don't seem to be particularly exploitative or big price gougers...

There was a survey I read a while back where a large chunk of people (possibly more than 50%; can't recall) agreed with the statement that only GMO crops have genes...

Blame the several documentaries out there "exposing" Monsanto and it's evils

What's the difference? Sexy robot bodies are coming, then we won't need to eat ever again. GMOs are a loser investment.

Some people do actually sabotage their partner's weight loss because of insecurity. I somehow doubt she got a whole series of them.

Women love to sabotage their friend's attempts at self-improvement. If you've got a fat group of friends, they'll try to drag you back into their habits if just to validate their own fatness. If you're the "Fat Friend" is a normal group of people, they'll often be snarky when you start losing weight because it changes the power dynamics.

Especially 13--how do you come to that conclusion? I don't think dudes on average are smart enough or malicious enough to figure out that "I'm terrified she is going to leave me, so I am going to her self-fat-shaming and she will never leave". Most of them probably just wanted her to lose weight and were assholes about it.

#3 must just be because she hangs out with other fat people. If I saw a dude who looked like her, I would definitely think he was fat...but if I was one of her friends and saw the same dude, I might think he was a catch.

#11 is the most baffling. She may be the only woman in the universe who thinks that she's treated more seriously at work because she's fat. She's just rationalizing at this point.

I hate this phrase to where it fills me with rage when I hear it.

Not just a whole string but everything from keeping her shut away from the public to forcing her to take pills. It does strain credulity.

Agreed. Do you realize how much work that is? It's pretty much a full-time job. The odds of her finding multiple guys capable of that level of commitment, planning, and attention to detail are extremely slim.

That's, um, what my friend told me anyway.

Anybody not give a shit if their vegetables are GMO? I don't. I have too much going on in my life to worry about such things. Ok, I might die at 75 rather than 80, who gives a shit? It'll be less I'll have to save for retirement.

I'm sure she is a lovely Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
sack of shit and an obnoxious self centered mouth breather who should never be called a
lady, but I just can't see her ending up with that many guys who are so completely desperate not to lose her that they try to encourage her self fat shaming despite the fact that she's totally not actually fat.

Seems more likely that she was fat (as evidenced by the photo she picked to show how she "wasn't fat), and the idiots dating her were also fat, and they thought fad diets and pills were an actual suggestion they should make.
