It's more about sleep deficit/surplus before attacking the drink, it's predetermined. I think me and PatrickBooth drink similar levels, but I get a lot more sleep than PB, guaranteed. No less than 8-10 hours a day, and I'll let it run 12-13 hours on a Wednesday if I need to, but somedays a delivery man will come or the dog will kick me and I'll wake up 5 hrs into dreamland and **** my schedule up. I don't have hangovers if I get the continuous sleep, but I do get that low blood pressure head feel when trying to get up from the pillow at first, I have to get consciousness for about 30 seconds before I attempt it. Plus It's my job to bring the dog down from the loft in the morning, so I have to be awake, or I'll kill us all. If I get woken up 5-6 hrs into my sleep, I get red inthe face when I drink, I get drunk faster, I have ripping hangovers, it's all about sleep and resting the body cells.

I had a dream that I was overheard by a bunch of Palestinians saying that they probably have a decent case against the Isreali's but they are too nutso articulate it in a civil, objective way that's why America doesn't side with them. Then my father and I were being chased by them and they were trying to kill us.

Why would I dream something like this?

Your dream is actually making sense even if the inarticulate part of it is just bs.

There is this guy I see on the subway platform everyday that always has earphones in. Going to work, no biggie, right? I have begun seeing him around my neighborhood and always has them in. I saw him the other day at like 2am, headphones in, ipod in hand, rocking out. What are with these people that need to hear music at every hour of the day?

If the guy is trying to learn a language or something like that, it makes sense to me.

But music? I don't understand the need to disengage from what is around you.

I think I dressed up for Halloween once ever in my life. I was always like a little old man. I certinatly can't see myself dressing up now, or any time in the future. I have nothing against it though. I enjoy the season.

I get the whole 140 characters or less of trivial content part, I just don't understand the tagging and the responses. Do they have pics on there? I still don't get this part, I don't understand how Twitter can be so popular with so many words and so few pictures.

1. Open twitter account
2. Follow W. Post, NYT, FT etc. and smart people who retweet interesting stuff
3. Enjoy a blog feed of good articles

I never understood spectators keeping up with the stats at a baseball game by writing everything down.

Do you mean keeping a scorecard? I find that I have a better grasp of the context of each at bat when I've got the scorecard in front of me. Nothing on the stadium scoreboard really replicates that.

It's footage from Dave Davies (of the Kinks) performing "Death of a Clown" (on some Belgian TV show, I think.) It's Dave Davies in the foreground, and also Dave Davies in the background!

If you search youtube for Death of a Clown, you'll find the whole video.
