I really dont like British shows for some reason. I think it was from all the episodes of that show with the old lady that everyone call mrs bucket. Although I do like Kitchen Nightmares cause it has fucking chef Ramsey in it.

Monty Python Little Britain Chef The Naked Chef (the last two are completely unrelated to each other)

I don't know if it's on BBC or Channel four but there's a series called IT crowd that is pretty good.

There's also a guy called Matt Berry that's funny as hell.

+1 for Top Gear

Having grown up in North America I couldn't understand The Office UK. I know Rickey Jervais is brilliant and all but I couldn't understand what was going on most of the time - British humour I suppose.

The stateside version of The Office I quite enjoy.

Almost all of my favorites are from the BBC. Some from the past few years: Coupling - Like Friends but WAY funnier Jekyl - Fucking fantastic State of Play - Makes the movie look like crap in comparison Life on Mars - Best series ever! Ashes to Ashes - Almost as good as Life on Mars MI-5 - This is what 24 should be The I.T. Crowd - U.K. Office + Tech Support guys = Win!

Chef.

Captures the pretense and preciousness of the food/ celebrity restaurant craze years before American TV.

Top Gear in an all-out all-time favorite. Blackadder, QI, and Coupling are up there, too.

Top Gear!

A one hour show dedicated to cars in HD, which doesn't put you to sleep (car and driver) besides Jeremy Clarkson is a riot

Loved I, Claudius.

The Jewel In The Crown.

Also an odd little gem called Gormenghast.

Doctor Who, the longest-running genre program in television history. The modern incarnation remains one of the most watched shows in the UK.
