also, jcrew just released an "urban slim" fit which might solve your conundrum!

I've seen the "urban" online but no stores near me seem to have it. I guess I gotta order to find out....

Tiger of Sweden's "Tire"-model is quite slim. Though, I don't know how's the availability in States.

Just picked up a pair of Crate James "Chinos" from barneys on sale for US$60. Call your local barneys and be aware these are about a size or two smaller than tagged. Low rise, slim through the hips and boot cut. I am a true 32 and I sized up to a 33 and the 33 was a little snug.

Hope this helps

j. crew officers chinos are the most flattering pants I've ever tried on. Their "garment-dyed" jeans aren't bad either.

RAF khakis I bought turned out to be super slim. But the fabric is amazing.

One thing to keep in mind, though, is attractive doesn't have to be extremely slim as long as it fits in the right places.

i went with BDG Skinny Chinos and they were okay for $39. they could be a little slimmer around the knees and downwards, but definitely not bad for the price.

anywhere to get the rrl officer chinos now? Searched a bit and no luck. They look like one of the better options. If not what is similar?

An RRL store. The ones in NYC just restocked officer chinos.

I can't wear any J. Crew chinos, 32 length is too short and they don't make 34 inseems with 31waists. The fabric quality seems pretty crappy as well.
