Edward Green Price Hike?

While picking up my Edward Green trunk-show order from Sky Valet on Saturday, I was informed by Adam that EG has recently raised its prices. Adam added that Sky would try to hold the line for the next trunk show in the Spring.

Has anyone experienced the price hike?

Hey AC...I posted that Saks had raised their prices on EG stock shoes to $950 before the SF crash. Fortunately, I also got them to hold the $850 pricing for my next order.

BTW, how did your order come out? Photos? Scnupe? Virginia Dandy? Medwards?

Now that you bring it up, I remember your post. At the new price levels, it's four figures for a trunk show order . . . no more EGs for me.

I got the Holcot in burnt pine on the 888 last. Very nice, and well worth the wait. I am planning on meeting up with scnupe7 (who owns a digital camera) for a "family portrait" sometime in the near future.

Sounds beatuiful AC, I can't wait to see it. I agree the prices are getting insane.

Re: price hike: aw, son of a bitch. Or as Serge Gainsbourg over in Freedom used to sing, Harley David...son of a beech ("Are you seeting on my Arley-Davidson?").

Picked up my order Saturday - Ecton on the 808, Edwardian antique, HAF sole, toe plate. Very nice. Was curious which version would appear - the one with a heel counter like the sample I saw last fall - or the final spec version without heel counter. It's the later. Pretty much like the photo Lionel posted here:

Saw medwards at Sky. His plain toe 4-eye derby in burgundy antique on 606 (Molton) is very sweet.

Adam was flying solo (brother is in Italy) and very busy - but took great care of us as usual.

Also, AFAIK, RLPL are still priced at $850 and holding annual trunk shoes with no MTM charge.

I didn't receive a call from Sky (and I still haven't), so I don't have my shoes yet. I guess I will pick them up Saturday. I will follow up with pics then.

AC- If you wanna meet up Saturday for our family portrait, let me know.
