you get a crazy cross-section of humanity on the 30 stockton. (and by crazy i really mean cranky old chinese ladies.)

They all want the aisle seat, why is that?

Through Chinatown to downtown. I once saw a homeless man in the back row piss all the way down the aisle. It is a vile bus.

All the way to the Caltrain depot, at least some of them do.

Once I was stuck on the 30 in the Stockton Tunnel for several minutes. The bus, needless to say for those who know it, was jam-packed, and yes, many groceries of all sorts were involved. I was seconds away from climbing out the window when it finally started to move.

The cable car does not really go anywhere I need to go so I don't ride it. It has also been priced for tourism, not transportation.

I remember jumping on and off the buggers when they had no regulation or restrictions or safety features. Fairly cheap prices too. Maybe 50c or so; I think children rode for a dime.
