Blurry Vision after working out

Every now and then, after playing basketball for three hours or so, I get blurry, elongated patches of vision in my left eye and a light headache. The blurry spots go away in an hour or so. Is this just an enflamed artery from exercise? I'm seeing a doctor about it tomorrow, I'm just curious.
If it matters, I'm a 32 yo white male, in pretty good cardiovascular shape (6'2, 170lbs)

Maybe signs of dehydration?

I'm glad you're going to a doctor about this. Let us know what's going on.

Do you have high blood pressure?

Vision's fine, no contacts. Blood pressure is okay, 125/75. Doctor said it's likely an inflamed artery but is referring me to tests for temeral arthitis or something like that.

My guess would be dehydration. Worsening vision is one of the first signs for me.

I experienced something similar yesterday, after working out in the morning and shower, I started getting blurred vision in my left eye, then gradually seeing stars, painful headaches ensued...turns out I caught summer fever, fffing hate summer.

Giant cell arteritis a.k.a. temporal arteritis. Good you got it checked out first and didn't do like many of the other jackasses on here who use this as their source of diagnosis. It can cause irreversible loss of vision.

Same for me when I don't drink enough during strenuous activity.

wouldn't want the employee of michael scott to be hurt. I've had it a few times, I've figured it to be fatigue.
