Is that a badger?

I want a Cuttlefish for a pet, but the tank would need to be huge and I would be tempted to eat the thing some day.

mushroom MUSHROOM!

SNAAAAKE SNAAAAAKE ITS A SNAAAAKE!

I kinda figured they were chipmunks (had a lot of those in E WA), but by the pic they looked bigger than what I am used to seeing.

Cuttlefish are quite intelligent, dare I say more than cats (not a cat person). Its like if you took a chameleon and made it 199x more awesome (faster change, more colors and mimics texture) and gave it the ability to figure out puzzles and build its own shelter.

Some cuttlefish are pretty small. Not bad pets if you're properly prepared for them. Octopuses are another interesting choice.

Same could be said about any guy wearing bespoke trousers and knit ties. Sounds like you need to go back to Macy's and pit bulls.

There is no reason at all one should own lizards and parrots. Stay in your moms basement.

+1. Only cats and dogs make sense as pets IMO. I guess if you have a pretty fish tank that you have as an aesthetic element, then fine, but fish, snakes, lizards, parrots, etc. are not pets, per se. They're just animals you're keeping alive. They return absolutely nothing in terms of bonding or fulfillment. An old GF had parakeets. I guess they were cute but basically all they were was seed-eating, constantly-pooping vacation-preventers.

You guys complain too much. If you don't want to keep animals, then don't.

A few comments on the foregoing:

Badgers, when taken young and tamed, can be very good pets I have heard although they are rather exigent pets that demand a lot of care and handling.

Dogs are really quite exigent pets in their own right, but we love them so much and are so habituated to caring for them we often don't recognize what a pain in the ass they really are.

It is ridiculous to state that parrots are incapable of affection or bonding with their owners. They can be very affectionate. Cockatoos in particular can become almost hysterically and neurotically attached to their owners, often engaging in self-destructive behavior if separated for any great length of time.

Some fish, koi in particular, can become tame enough act friendly with familiar people.

Some people find creatures like guinea pigs and rabbits to be satisfactory pets, although they do nothing for me.

I guess snakes and lizard can be tamed enough to act docile with familiar people although I don't like reptiles, period.

It is my firm belief that anyone who keeps a pet like a snake that requires live prey has a somewhat sick and sadistic streak in them. I might make an exception if the live prey is something like a brine shrimp or a mealworm, but I just strongly dislike the idea of feeding a living fellow mammal to a reptile, which I suppose is "speciesism" on my part.

this is a serious question, i always wanted to have a tarantula, which breed is the best to get ( i particularly like the furrier tamer looking ones, not the exotic looking ones) and how much do they run?

Rabbits are good pets because they are delicious. Some folks eat Guinea pigs too, although, I don't think I've tried that yet (I have my suspicions that I have, but I can't confirm).
