I think you should really get some insurance quotes before you make any purchases (maybe you already have). I think insurance on a BMW or G35 is going to be killer for a 22 yo. Cars are already a terrible investment but insurance just adds to it.

Okay, so good-looking, reliable, cheap maintenance, good fuel economy, and you don't care if it's fast. Many of the suggestions in this thread are ruled out by those criteria. I'd look into the MR2, as a couple guys mentioned, or a Celica for more usable space.
