The only good thing about that movie was Watanabe--and the on-screen possible conception of the world's first halfie

These two movies seemed remarkably similar to me.

Is there a japanese equivalent of "tataunka?"

My laundry list of horrible films I actually endured watching in the theater without getting up and leaving (I suppose I am a masochist at heart):

Batman and Robin
The Weatherman
Judge Dredd
SW: Ep. 1 and 2 (I abstained from actually paying money to watch 3)
Alexander
...and the winner (loser) is: Battlefield Earth

Do you actually have any experience with swords?

You really didn't like Dodgeball? It was so ridiculously stupid I found it pretty funny, plus the Karate Kid reference was nicely done.

No.

Add 1-Hour Photo to my list.

Yeah, too odd, too weird for Robin Williams, cinematography was interesting from a technical point of view.

I really liked Dodgeball. Vince Vaughn is one of the few actors I can enjoy in almost anything. And Steven Root is vastly underappreciated.

Rip Taylor had the funniest scene in the movie, though.

No way. No *WAY*. In my case, at least, it's not sour grapes for Brokeback, which I thought was pretty good, but not necessarily Best Picture either: I hated Crash purely on its own demerits, and I'm not sure that people needed Crash to think again about racism. So many recent social issues (particularly Supreme Court cases involving college admissions) have provided far more substance to consider.

Funny story- my sister, when she was younger, was the queen of sneaking in to movies. She'd get one ticket and spend the whole day going into other movies, sometimes at the beginning, others half way through. Probably saw every movie that could've been in the theater that summer. She and her friends got caught trying to sneak into Battlefield Earth and the guy who caught them didn't kick 'em out or anything. He just said, "This is the worst movie ever, don't even waste your time."
