Movies that blow - Page 38

I like Star Wars (A New Hope or whatever the stupid title is supposed to be now) the best of all six films. It's the only one that actually stands alone and can be watched as an individual movie.

Plus, I just remember how cool it was to see it for the very first time on the big screen when it came out - I'd never seen anything like it before.

CB4 except for Khandi Alexander in full fox mode!

Gladiator. What a bunch of corny cliched outdated crap. The Oscars aren't exactly the most prestigious awards, but for Gladiator to even get nominated let alone an award amazed me at the time.

The Prestige. This one really insults your intelligence. David Bowie? Really?

Mama Mia. Pierce Brosnan singing. 'Nuff said.

+1. I agree totally.

Silent hill.... I wish I had known it was based on a video game before I went to see it.

Wanted. Granted there were a few redeeming aspects to it, but overall, it just couldn't hold it together.

It hasn't even been released yet but I see no redeeming qualities in the trailer.

Charlie Bartlett

Started off well, kids + drugs, always an excellent combo. Didn't even know it was rated R until they started dropping F-bombs and tits appeared, which was no doubt an excellent surprise. Quickly though, the movie turned into a Saturday afternoon special and Robert Downey Jr.'s drunken stupor seemed more Disney than hoped (if you've seen it, is anyone else in agreement that he should have shot the kid?). Bottom line, save the cake and rent Old School instead.

Haha... actually, someone asked me if I wanted to be in this movie. It was a few years ago though. Filmed close by. I considered it and ultimately did nothing.

The Happening - my god, what an awful movie. It's so lazily made.
