Crash was bad, I think, because it was dumbed down for the audience. They layed everything on so thick so every stupid person in America wouldn't have to think about it after it was over. I think the best kind of screenplays are the ones that leave things between the lines and rely on the actors acting to get across to the audience.
It is basically one of those movies for suburban soccer moms to stand on the sidelines of Timmy's game and say, "Oh I saw the most powerful movie last night, you really must see it."
It's too bad that so many people are so spineless in Hollywood.
i haven't seen it, but i agree with you that everything in the media, not just hollywood movies, but magazines, tv news, and even school textbooks, are dumbed down nowadays.
