Height - Page 4

As a classic car enthusiast, I really like the fact that I can fit into any car ever made without any problems . At the same time, even though I’ve been with chicks taller than I, when in horizontal takeoff, there doesn’t seem to be any problems. Jon.

I have dated and slept with a lot of woman taller than me. I can't say that being short isn't a liablity in that area, but it is something that can be solved. the actual mechanics of it are not a problem at all.

My mother is 4'10, father is 5'9. I got stuck somewhere in the middle at 5'5.

6'1", 240 lbs, size 50-52 jacket. LA Guy can attest to the fact that I look like a cross between an axe murderer and an NFL linebacker.

Of all the guys from the forum I've met, Jay would probably have the best chance in the Octagon. Also, he has that van Dyke facial hair that fighters seem to favor. Steve B. is taller, but we all know that he is a pipe-smoking hippie. And who has ever seen a hippie win a fight?

Whoa, you must have no torso.

LA Guy:
Between tree hugging and smoking pot, most hippies just dont have the time to fight.

Impressive growth. I hope I get an inch or two more. My father grew at 21 though, so I might as well then. Did you do anything special when you grew? Increase in exercise...etc?

No at all... growing that fast was painful. At the time, i was a serious tennis player and training about 20 hours a week. I had to stop for over 2 months because the pain was too much in my lower back. At first, I thought i pulled a muscle because I had small marks on my lower back. I found out only recently from a physician that because I grew so quickly I suffered from a small scoliosis (spine is not perfectly straight) and developed small stretch marks on my lower pack.

At the end of the day, I am very happy that I am now considered "tall" and got the small stretch marks removed by a plastic surgeon and I can also play sports without feeling any pain.

I had the same thing happen to me when I was about 14-16, my lower back used to hurt all the time and I had to get orthodics to support my really high arches. I'm about 6'1"-2" and have finally started to put on weight in the past two years. All through high school I worked out, biked liked mad, and ate my parents out of house and home (when I come home from university my family's food bill usually goes up $200) and still weighed around 150-160lbs. It's only been the last couple of years I've hit my target of 185-190lbs. I'm really comfortable with my body now and like my size. However, cars and airplanes are a challenge.

5'10"

stopped growing around 16 or 17

i feel like a giant in Vietnam though, and you get these surreal experiences (for a 5'10 westerner anyhow) where you can look right across the top of a crowd and see the white guy at the other end of the room

5'10", stopped growing at 17.

i think the ideal height is about 6'5". that's as tall as you can be and not have the proportions get thrown off.
