Domencio Vacca Shoes!

Thread Starter
I was browsing in Rodeo and I stopped by the Vacca boutique. They have some VERY VERY nice shoes in stock. Prices range from $750-1250. The sales person informs me that they are COMPLETLY handmade and are comparable to Lattanzi and Vass.

I know many salespeople overuse the word "handmade". The people at the Ferragamo store told me that Tramezzas are COMPLETLY handmade. (I didnt want to argue and waste my time) So I question the Vacca statement also.

Does anyone know anything about Vacca shoes? Because if they are what they say they are, I pickin' up 2-3 pairs!

The salesperson is full of BS. Such is Vacca.

What does it matter whether they are entirely handmade or not? If you like the style and the leather feels good and they seem to be well made and they fit, then buy them. I would rather have shoes that I think look good and which fit me well but are not completely handmade, then shoes that I don't like as much and are not as comfortable but are completely handmade.

I've seen Vacca shoes in pictures here and at their store at NYC. I think they're gorgeous. If I could afford them and they fit me, I would buy a pair.

You might be able to afford them if you call Wilkes Bashford in San Francisco (or Palo Alto) and order a pair. From what I recall, the same shoes are about 20% cheaper.

Thanks for the idea. It might be worth looking into. Thanks to ebay, I have a very nice pair of gravati shoes made for wilkes-bashford. Maybe I should start a wilkes-bashford shoe collection. They must have a nice shoe selection.

FYI, they're made by Stefano Bi
