alden longwings ravello

hi everyone need some help, i have a chance to pick up a pair of alden longwings in shell ravello. i need help because they are on a crepe sole, and i wear my other longwings more dressy then casual. i also have a pair of cigar shell longwings coming in august on double leather soles. should i go for the ravello because its hard to come by? or is having longwings in color8, ravello, and cigar to much of the same thing. any help would be great.

Dude... that's my dream shoe wardrobe. Alden Longwings in #8, Cigar, Ravello and Whiskey.

I have the Alden Longwings in Revello with the crepe soles. They are terrific shoes, both because of the color and comfort. Because of the sole, I wear mine with odd jackets and ties or casual wear, but not with suits. I wore them this past Tuesday with business casual attire. The sole wears well and makes for the most comfortable Alden shoes that I own.

Not too much at all. I have all the colors and wear them often. You don't have them in black shell?

Oh yea, I forgot to mention that it is possible to resole them with the classic double sole by Alden if you really dont like the incongruency of the crepe sole compared with your other longwings.

thanks for the quick replies, yes i think i will buy them, and jayjay no i do not have any black shell. i do not wear black shoes anymore, or for that matter black suits, so all shades of brown and burgandy work better for me. thanks again.

Good decision. The color is really terrific and fills a nice gap between Whiskey and Cigar. Enjoy them.

I'd love to see a pic of the revello LWB's with crepe sole. Sounds like a great casual shoe.
